On May 17, Yang Yanyan,ChairpersonofChina Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangxi Committee,met with Sardar Muhammad,Acting Consul General ofthe Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Guangzhou.
 

Yang Yanyan introduced the functionsof CCPIT Guangxi Committee, including representingdomestic industry and commerce, legal services for foreign-related commercial cases, and special mechanismsfor foreign-funded enterprises.Shealsointroducedthe arrangements for the 20^thChina-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (GXFTZ), as well as the development of industries such as textile industry, agriculture, and new energy vehicles in Guangxi. She invited Acting Consul General Sardar Muhammad andrelevantPakistanicompaniesto attend activities organized by CCPIT Guangxi Committee.She expressed the hopeofstrengtheningcommunication and exchanges with the Consulate General and jointly exploringthe cooperation between Guangxi and Pakistan in the fields of agriculture, textile industry, etc. Additionally, shewished thatActing Consul General to recommend Pakistani enterprises to visit Guangxi, introduce the agricultural special economic zone of Pakistan to Guangxi enterprises, and promote economic and tradecooperation.
 

Sardar Muhammad mentioned that Guangxi’s economic volume with Pakistan ranked first among the five provinces under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General. He expressed appreciation and support for the trade cooperation between Pakistan and Guangxi. He stated thatGuangxigovernmentattached great importance to the development of Pakistan-China relations and showed high expectationsfor cooperation between Pakistan and Guangxi. He introduced the friendly cooperation between Pakistan and the Royal GroupCo., Ltd.in Guangxi and expressed the desire to strengthen cooperation with Guangxi in agriculture.Furthermore, he invited CCPIT Guangxi Committee and Guangxi enterprises to participate in the International Textile Exhibition (Texpo) held in Pakistan,and welcomed Guangxi enterprises to visit and invest in Pakista’s specialagricultural economic zones.
 

Relevant staff from the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Guangzhou and the Division of International Relations of CCPIT Guangxi Committee attended themeeting.
